I know from personal experience what being a food addict can mean. For me, "just a little" of the wrong food could spell disaster for my slimming efforts! To lose weight I have had to give up her favourite "food fix" entirely, in just the same way that a smoker must give up smoking tobacco entirely.
I knew all about nicotine addiction, but I spent 43 years as a food addict and never realised what was going on. While carrying out some research into food intolerance, I discovered the four foods that were driving my appetite into overeating: wheat, cows milk, sugar and potatoes.
I eliminated all four of these ingredients from her daily diet and was amazed at the results: I ate less, lost weight easily and quickly, and gained in energy and vitality. This discovery was a defining moment in my life, when many decades of trying out endless, unsuccessful slimming diets all made sense at last.
I could not wait to tell everyone about this simple new diet. I set out to prove my theory with the help of 100 people who responded to an advertisement asking for people to try a new kind of slimming diet. I set before them an experiment: to eliminate the four "zero" foods (ie wheat sugar, cows milk and potato) for three weeks, and eat as much as they liked of everything else
Only 50% of the participants were prepared to try this: the first signs of food addiction. The remaining 50 tried it, lost weight, felt better and saw various annoying medical problems such as headaches, simply disappear.
This trial has now become the "Four Zero Experience" and is the basis of a completely new kind of diet. It is becoming increasingly clear that food addiction is the sinister hidden ingredient in many of the problems people have with food.
