The fact of the matter is we, the morbidly obese,are hurting. We have deep emotional problems and our way of dealing with it, eating, is rapidly killing us. We are not lazy, we are not gluttons and we are not stupid. We are sad, we are in pain, we are embarrassed and humiliated. We want to be treated as people, to be understood and given our measure of kindness. Little is being done to help us, and we are living in misery until we die, after a short life, barely lived.
